With each new year, comes new hope, new opportunities, and new goals! We say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021! We caught up with some of your favourite local celebs and asked them what their New Year’s Resolutions are? This is what they had to say…

TV and Radio Personality, Liezel van der Westhuizen: I need to think differently in 2021. I need to live even better, live more spontaneously, and learn to not be so hard on myself. My New Year’s Resolution is to upgrade the best parts of Liezel, the person, through investing more in mental wellness, spiritual joy, and even more so in people. Working on myself in 2020 has served me, and others, well so far.

Actress, Nicole Bessick: A hard lesson 2020 has taught me is that your loved ones won’t be around forever… so it’s really important to let those closest to you know exactly what and how much they mean to you. My New Year’s Resolution is to love… and love hard. In 2021, I want to leave people, hearts and places in a better condition than I found them.

Professional Rugby Player, Steven Kitshoff: It would be an honour for me to be part of the Springbok team that takes on the British and Irish Lions, and to be able to be healthy and fit enough to be involved with the team, and so my New Year’s Resolution is to look after my body so that I can prolong my rugby career as long as possible.

Professional Rugby Player, Christian Ambadiang: My New Year’s Resolution is to make the best of every opportunity that I get and to set aside time to learn new things.

Author, Model and Businesswoman, Sasha-Lee Taylor: My New Year’s Resolution is simply to live in the moment and not get too caught up on things that are out of my control and not to stress about what the future holds.

Professional Rugby Player, Justin Geduld: To always be the best version of myself and to always give 110% on and off the field.

Mrs SA Top 25 Finalist, Model and Businesswoman, Chandre Goosen-Joubert: My New Year’s Resolution is to go out and do everything I set my heart to, and not allow the words “I can’t” or “no” affect the way I live my life.
Let’s hope 2021 is a fresh new start for us all!
