Ann-Kathrin Joo’s is the founder of Standard Skin and Beauty.
The skincare brand offers natural, organic products for all skin types at affordable prices. I was fortunate enough to try out some of their products and write a review about my first experience using Standard Beauty.
When I first unboxed my Standard beauty products, I loved the professional packaging and how the branding of the products caught my attention.
As a first time user of Standard Beauty, I appreciated that their packaging was very informative. Each of the three products I received had the ingredients section, the benefits and what was my favourite was the “How To Use Me” section on each of the boxes. This gave me peace of mind and guidance on how to use each product correctly before I started using them. All the packaging from Standard beauty is recyclable, which is a bonus
Vitamin C: Brightening Night Serum
The night serum by Standard Beauty is one of the brands best sellers. The serum consists of Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) this helps rejuvenate dull skin, brightness dark spots and even out skin tone. When I first applied the serum to my first, I was impressed by its quick absorption and it felt super light on my skin. I used this after at night after my skincare routine. Other amazing ingredients in the serum include Rosehip Oil, Lemon Oil and Lemongrass Oil.
This serum was a true god sent! It is 6% niacinamide with 1 % hyaluronic acid with cucumber. When I first opened and smelled this serum, the rich yet soft smell was refreshing. The texture of the serum also was soft and light. The benefits of this serum are that it improves skin texture and reduces inflammation. I saw how my dark spots slowly faded after using this product for a few weeks. The niacinamide serum by Standard beauty consists of Vitamin B3, cucumber and pineapple extracts. The cucumber soothes the skin and maintains elasticity, whereas the pineapple ingredients work their magic by purifying and soothing the skin
I have never used a buttercream product before so I was not sure what to expect when I first applied the product to my face. The texture to my surprise was not dense or thick, this is what I liked. It was easy to apply and it didn’t create any sticky feeling on my face when I rubbed it. The butter product is for dry and dull skin and is recommended to be used after washing, toning and applying serum. I followed the ingredients to the T and it paid off. My face felt moisturised and rejuvenated after using the buttercream for one full week. In the bottle, you can find four ingredients, ceramide, shea butter, cocoa butter and rosehip oil.
